I think all Birthday breakfasts should be 3 course meals. We took Oskar to our local cafe for breakfast. Usually, he get food brought from home, but on this day he shared 3 delectable dishes with David and I.
Cannelle, Veggie Quiche and French Toast. Hard to beat that!

Oskar rode on David's shoulders on the way back from our breakfast. He had a blast. I was afraid he was going to launch off but he held steady as he danced around.
On Oskar's birthday, David and I went out to celebrate 1 year of parenting. We had a fantastic dinner at Bar Crudo where they sent us champagne on the house to help us celebrate our 1 year and then we went to a so-so dessert bar around the corner and had carrot cake, milk and played Blokus.
A perfect day to celebrate Oskar C. Strandberg's arrival 1 year ago.
Happy Birthday Oskar! He seems very suspicious of that enormous strawberry (but satisfied.) Get in shoulder rides while you can - one day there he'll have a growth spurt and you'll wake up the next day with muscle spasms in your back.

I loved Oskar's colorful birthday sweater! The "horsey ride" on Daddy's shoulders beats the stroller as a way to get down the street! You can tell they're both having fun. Gramsy
