Imagine hearing carousel music and bending your knees slowly so that you go up and down....it's called dancing, Oskar style. I turned around and caught the lil O doing his jig.
This pict was taken last Friday with my iPhone. On Fridays (the past 2), I dust off our jogging stroller and jog with O to the Koret Playground where they have a carousel.
Oskar rode the carousel when Gramsy and Grandpa were in town. He rode with David on a stationary horse. One of these Fridays, we will ride it together again....on a horse that goes up and down.
Another adorable behavior that Oskar has started to do involves his beloved fruit. This kid loves his fruit. He howls for strawberries and blueberries upon sight - no matter what time of day or how much he has just eaten. So one day last week, David and I let Oskar put his hand in the fruit salad and pick out his usual handful of fruit. Oskar got a big grin. Stuck his hand in the bowl. Grasped fruit....and then did nothing. We waited for handfuls to fly into his mouth, but no. He grinned and kept his hand very still - never letting go of the fruit in his grasp. He recently repeated this behavior with a bowl of blueberries so we know it is not the mystery of a fruit salad.
In parenting news, David and I have started to exercise. He has been running - sometimes with Oskar and sometimes on his own. I have been riding home from Sausalito on Tuesday after work and riding back there on Wednesday morning in addition to jogging to Koret on Friday.

Can[t wait to take Oskar blueberry picking near our house in a few years. He can eat all he wants while picking!! I'm glad you are all working out so you'll be ready for Mt. Rainier in a few weeks. : ) Adrienne
