On my way home from an appointment Monday morning, I spotted a few discarded items on a street corner. A U-turn later and I was piling a kids-sized kitchen sink/stove/fridge, a kid's chair and a bag of kitchen paraphenalia (wooden and plastic fruits/veggies, tea cup set, knife/cutting board, oven mits, wooden cookie sheet complete with cookies....it goes on). Jackpot.
While it isn't the gorgeous wooden kitchen set I was eyeing in a natural toy catalog it is perfect. Oskar loves it and who knows how long it will sustain his interest. Once I get a moment, I will post pictures of him playing with his cookies. Priceless. This morning, the 3 boys were playing at the kitchen unit which is situated just outside the kitchen in the dining room.
The blue chair is in his bedroom and I put pillows in it. He sits in it and reads or sits in it while we read. Very cute.
In meantime, here are pictures of his early Xmas presents so you know what they look like brand new.

Oskar is on his way to becoming a gourmet cook! I can see it already. Wish I could see him in his new kitchen. Would he like some kitchen utensils for Christmas? What a terrific find! Gramsy is waiting for him to cook up a dish for her!
