Friday is a great day. Today was a great day. It started out with homemade glutenfree bread for me and homemade blueberry bran muffins for David and Oskar. The muffins were on the "healthy" side but both guys loved them! Lately, Oskar and I go to Acrosports on Friday mornings where we have lots of fun with Devin and his mom Liza. In class today, Oskar participated for the first time in all of circle time and he did most of the backwards themed routine. Backwards somersault and backwards walking on a tall mat were some of the highlights. After Acrosports, we headed to a playground where we met up with Audrey and Bonnie. This is the second time we have met them after Acrosports. This time we went to Crepes on Cole - more kid-friendly. Last time, we went to Zazie which is more of a restaurant - less kid-friendly but of course, better food. David met us for the second half of our meal. Oskar was delighted to see his Daddy walk into our lunch spot. After lunch, I walked home from Cole Valley with a pit stop at the grocery store....Oskar fell asleep soon after we said goodbye to David, Audrey and Bonnie. It was a gorgeous day of about 70 degrees.
Even after a 2 hour nap, Oskar has been sleepy and just wants to lounge in his crib. The pictures of him lying down are of him lounging. I think the late night bedtimes due to much fuss and protest are catching-up with him. Tonight, he finally went to bed before 7:30 without hysterics or being rocked to sleep.
Oh, the pictures of the stickers was a particularly special moment. Oskar was waiting patiently for his sticker at the end of class. Coach Daniel was handing them out. He turned to Oskar and said, "you have been so patient, which sticker would you like". It moved me so. His patience. The recognition. His growing-up.

What a fun day! Wish I could have been there. Glad to see Oscar enjoys his snowman fleece! Gramsy
