Tahoe with John and Sharon

The first weekend in February, we met John and Sharon at a lovely home in South Lake Tahoe. We were a short walk to my favorite cross country skiing area. David and John got a day of downhill in. I meant to go cross country but ended-up taking long walks with Oskar in the baby backpack. Cross country skiing with O in the baby backpack would be difficult. Our little guy is at least about 28 lbs these days.

This picture was taken during our couch potatoing on the couch during the superbowl. The ladies and Oskar went for a walk just before halftime to get takeout pizza and some beers. It was wonderful to see John and Sharon. The gave Oskar this amazing book of Noisy Trucks complete with sound affects. It was a life saver

Oskar had a difficult night and early mornings at 5:30am. He might have had a cold or it was one that was lingering....anyhow we were off schedule which made things tough as O was not himself. Thankfully he is sleeping later now and we hope to have him down earlier. Lately, when I put him to bed he howls for "DADDY"! We usually call David at work to say goodnight. Tonight it worked. Last night, it didn't. Ah well, the ongoing sleep changes of a child.

Added photos from David's iPhone...Oskar takes running jumps into our arms which bowl us over. David and I took Oskar sledding with mixed success. I went down the icy hill first. It was bumpy and I nearly missed a tree at the end....Oskar cried the whole time. Later, after a walk to the lake and watching a few other families go sledding and snow that was a bit softer from the sun, David went down. Oskar was fine until David stopped. He cried. We took him on short runs down snow banks which was tolerated.

  1. I remember my kids crying on their first sled rides too! So happy that you could get together with John and Sharon and share some happy times.
It's nice for Oscar to know his uncle! Gramsy
