David's company volunteered to participate in a sandcastle competition which benefited local school art programs. His office joined forces with an architect's office and an elementary school. Oskar and I played in the sand while David did his duty as "green monster" and policed the composting, recycling and trash for his team's area.
I bought 10 raffle tickets and my name was called in the second drawing. Yay! My prize is an introductory course for rock climbing for 2 at a local climbing gym. It might be a while before we use it. :-)
Oskar enjoyed David's green monster whistle while getting feet wet in the waves on Ocean Beach. After dancing in the waves with his whistle, Oskar took a little tumble when the water was mid-calf and got very wet/startled (as did I). Late for naptime didn't help things. I hope the incident is forgotten and that he will continue to play in waves.
